The theme was
Mobilities and
Transitions: Learning, Institutions, Global and Social Movements
During
the three days I listened to a number of lectures, presentations and roundtable
discussions. I especially chose to go to presentations that addressed issues
and perspectives on: innovative or contemporary approaches to teachers and
teaching; using, researching and debating media in education; views on topical
issues regarding real life transitions and gender issues.
I
got a lot out of it – can’t wait to write it up for my colleagues at Roskilde
Uni
The
two Key notes – Mary Stuart and Patti Gouthro were SPOT ON
Big thanks especially to Tony Brown (SO inspiring), Andre Grace (right in
line with my work in the men and masculinities network) , Kaela Jubas
(Fantastic) , Brandi Kapell, Laurie Vermeylen and Scott McLean (super topical
study about self-help books), Christine Jarvis (amazingly interesting
presentation) and many others
Also a big thank you to the conference organisers for letting me paint
and draw through all the sessions
