Sussi Louise at GALLERY LIVSMALERI paints everyday life in colourful naïvism. A vibrant celebration of everyday life and the grace it encompasses. Beauty lies in the detail. And in the blue hues. And in chocolate. There must always be chocolate. And Coffee. Possibly swearing. Definitely Salty Liquorice.

HEIR conference July 2013
Absolutely great conference, as always, will tell you more later. A few paintings - took me a while to finish them - too much sun for indoor work ;-)
I know two of them are upside down - will sort it when I am back from holiday and have access to computerlustrate some sessions. Anders Jörnesten, Stefan Buettler, Anne Boultwood, Jeroen Huisman and last but definitely not least,

SRHE seminar on Teaching Inclusively
July 9th London.
As you may be able to tell - there was a lot of info in a short space of time...
Gill Crozier and Penny Jane Burke presented their research project and the 'Resource pack' they and their team had produced. Participants in the seminar discussed the different topics in groups ... A welcome approach and different to the usual seminar-ways

Working with acrylics and crazy dreams
Whenever I paint on canvas - something completely different happens. Shooting stars on a blood-red sky. Angels exploding in white light and gold.
it is very different from my watercolours, right!?

And then there were two
I have been working on this painting for months. I wanted to tell a story about a little girl who managed all by her own. It is a classic theme so - in fear of falling into a Pippi Longstocking trap - I got stuck. Suddenly yesterday it came to me it is NOT a story about loneliness or fending for one's own... It is a story about multiple life-histories rolled into one. A girl happy to explore the world from her lighthouse home. A magical story about travel in one place. Experiencing a road trip to Paris through books a journey to far shores with human lighthouses by boat, a lovestory. To life.
The painting is approximately 15x15 cms so using a magnifying glass is essential.
As always there is a ladybird and a bike hidden somewhere. Hope you enjoy
