Happy art project and Cancer awareness

Dear everybody

As many of you know I set myself a challenge for the 40 days of Lent to raise cancer awareness and reach all continents with my happy art project... I wanted to put a smile on the faces of people affected by cancer, I think I managed that somewhat.

The reason I haven't been timely in giving feedback to you all about how it all went, is that during those 40 days, both my parents ended up in hospital and later hospices. My mother is still with us, she's a tough cookie, but alas, my beloved father had to give in and get his wings. Prostate cancer is not a nice thing, neither is getting old and sick. But we have to soldier on. He would have wanted that. He always supported my art 100% and was the most positive person I know. He was so SO proud of me for doing my cancer awareness challenge.

Unfortunately, I didn't quite succeed. I never managed to get a like from Antarctica :-(
But more than 2000 times people liked or shared my art in the period via Facebook, Instagram and here, on Blogspot. Here you can see some of my Happy Art Project Artworks:

I made a ton of Lovebird cards and lovebird stones and in total I raised
1560kr to breast cancer research DK
And to North West Cancer Research
70.50£ so far, I still have a few cards to sell.

So Thank you all - for helping me

Help me make people affected by cancer smile ... Cancer awareness challenge for Lent - 24.03.16

Hello you :)
I know we don't know each other well but I would like to ask for your help all the same.

I am a relative to three people with cancer and I want to try and make a, however small, difference by sharing my love for colourful art.

Anyone who's ever seen a loved one battle cancer knows what it's like to feel helpless.  Cancersucks - but loverocks , so I am trying to do something completely new to me...

For the period of Lent,  that's until March 24th this year, I have set myself the challenge to raise #cancerawareness by painting lovestones and happy lovebirds and share them via this blog, via Instagram (Sussi.louise) and via Facebook and hopefully getting comments and likes from all continents on planet earth.

... By 'liking'  and sharing my post you help me spread hope from the North Pole to the South Pole and from Asia to the Americas.  Please put your country in the comment line :)
Let's join hands and make happy art for the period of lent

A shout out for cancer awareness across the countries and planets ... we are not alone. Sufferers, survivors and carers, possibly aliens, I'm open minded  (JUST KIDDING).

I am not a magician or a superhero... but I DO have lots of love and I can paint happy pictures.

Will you help me make people smile by sharing this post in your network? It's ok if not. There are lots of causes and charities out there. This is just me. Trying to make sense of life and death. if there is any

Just to be clear,  my challenge is not principally about collecting money... It's about awareness, love, hope, art and smiles.  If you still want to send money though, I suggest these two charitues:

Støt brysterne.  I have made my own "Lovebirds for Lent" collection for the Danish breast cancer foundation, join my #cancertittyfight Support my breast cancer charity collection here:
http://www.cancer.dk/stoetbrysterne/din-personlige-indsamling/vis/love-birds-for-lent-turtelduer-i-fasteperioden/

The second is nothing short of cutting edge: North West Cancer Research NWCA

For the duration I donate my time and skills of lovebird painting on stones and cards :) and all proceeds go to the charities mentioned above

 Kærlig hilsen
 Sussi

PS. Do you know anyone in Antarctica?? I'm finding it difficult to get a like from that continent :)

For a Danish person Valentine's day is a pretty new concept,  however celebrating love is not :)
I do three types of Valentine's greetings from the gallery.  Cards,  notebooks and love stones.

The cards are hand drawn and I add the name or initials you wish and even write the card with a short (ish) message and send it for you if you wish. Secret or surprise love letters are SO romantic...

It is all about smiling and sharing the message of love

I also do love stones with lovebirds or loving couples (humans, dogs, cats, you name it).

Jeg sender meget gerne fra England.
